Of course you wear white in the spring! How could you not when designers concoct such wonderful ways to make white fresh each season. Many Paris designers celebrated the absence of color for Spring 2013 with slashes, cuts and surface-based air conditioning. The patterned geometrics at Balmain, the delicate airy laces at Elie Saab, the pop art play at Louis Vuitton and an homage to broken glass at Valentino all spoke to the beauty of focusing on the cleanliness of white and the power that the lack of color allows one to see in terms of the simplicity or intricacy of patterns, lines, drapery, embellishment and handiwork.
