When The East Is In The House: K-Fashion Presentation by Patricia Fields

You want to make some noise on the New York fashion scene, then you hook up with one of the best in the biz.  Patricia Fields , costume designer and stylist extraordinaire recently presented and styled a night of Korean Fashion and Culture at PH-D at the Dream Downtown in New York City.  There was a bevy of New Yorkers in the house that night from club kids to top models to stylists and other city movers and shakers.

The set was alive and kicking from the Korean duo Kill The DJ's and guests got to enjoy remixed Korean fare like electric blue Soju cocktails and hors d'oeuvres like kimchi bites and mini veggie bibimbap cups.  However, Ms. Fields wouldn't add her name to anything that wasn't ignited with fashion.  The fashion's on display were from Korea-based Buckaroo Jeans and Morine Comte Marant and styled by Ms. Fields celebrated the revelry, randomness and wild side of New York City's night life.  The ideas that she brought to the forefront were quite evident with the pattern clashing, homages to punk aesthetics, raver wear and overall a general display of broken rules and disbanding the somber.
