Pretty Gowns Need Pretty Shoes: Introducing Carmen Marc Valvo Calzature

There's quite a bit of tacky footwear nowadays.  No wonder why a lot of them wind up being picked over at discount stores.  There's also quite a bit of footwear that's so sensational they cause a binary reaction.  Either the style is so good that it's copied so many times that you become immune to them or they are so mundane that they fall into the realm of the utterly forgettable.  Well similar to those dresses that speak to women of all sizes and walks of life is a new shoe collection for Fall 2013 that speaks to a woman's need for bit of sensation, a bit of class and season to season longevity.  Enter Carmen Marc Valvo Calzature.

Carmen Marc Valvo has long been creating dresses, cocktail frocks and gowns that speak to everyday women and celebrities alike.  For Fall 2013 he adds that same approachable luxury aesthetic to a line of shoes to complete those bevies of strapless, backless, sequined, beaded, long and mini dresses.  What struck me as wonderful about the collection was that same CMV idea was applied to fashionably designed shoes that can actually be worn more than once.

The collections is comprised of chic pumps, booties, sandals and flats decked out in lambskins, suedes and sequined textiles.  What's interesting to note is the sweet little flourishes that make each shoe interesting enough to accentuate that day suit, cocktail dress or gown.  The contrasting metallic gold trims to accent your statement jewelry, streamlined multiple straps to update a classic pump and slight cut-outs on ladylike sling-backs all conspired to make a pretty cosmopolitan collection.  A personal favorite of mine were the mesh uppers on booties and pumps in the jettiest of blacks and sweetest of berries.
